This is a new construction job for a chemical storage building located in an area with deep uncontrolled fill and existing utilities that could not be disturbed. Ram Jack installed helical new-construction piers to support the structure and keep the project on schedule.

Duke University

Epworth dormitory is the oldest dorm at Duke University settlement occurred due to expansive clay soils and deteriorated drain lines.  Underpinning with Ram Jack helical piers with gusset brackets allowed the repairs to be made quickly during the spring break keeping the required fire exits available for the students.

Perimeter Park Building

This high bay light industrial flex space building had settled almost 9 inches due to poorly compacted fill.  Ram Jack used push piers, with a synchronized lifting system to lift the masonry load bearing perimeter walls, recovering about 7 1/2 inches of the settlement, helical piers to support the interior steel columns, and helical new-construction piers to support the new floor slab.
